FIRST TUNGUSKA METEORITE FRAGMENTS DISCOVERED
The Tunguska impact event is one of the great mysteries of modern history. The basic facts are well known. On 30 June 1908, a vast and powerful explosion engulfed an isolated region of Siberia near the Podkamennaya Tunguska River.
The blast was 1000 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima, registered 5 on the Richter scale and is thought to have knocked down some 80 million trees over an area of 2000 square kilometres. The region is so isolated, however, that historians recorded only one death and just handful of eyewitness reports from nearby.
But the most mysterious aspect of this explosion is that it left no crater and scientists have long argued over what could have caused it.
The generally accepted theory is that the explosion was the result of a meteorite or comet exploding in the Earth's atmosphere. That could have caused an explosion of this magnitude without leaving a crater. Such an event would almost certainly have showered the region in fragments of the parent body but no convincing evidence has ever emerged.
In the 1930s, an expedition to the region led by the Russian mineralogist Leonid Kulik returned with a sample of melted glassy rock containing bubbles. Kulik considered this evidence of an impact event. But the sample was somehow lost and has never undergone modern analysis. As such, there is no current evidence of an impact in the form of meteorites.
That changes today with the extraordinary announcement by Andrei Zlobin from the Russian Academy of Sciences that he has found three rocks from the Tunguska region with the telltale characteristics of meteorites. If he is right, these rocks could finally help solve once and for all what kind of object struck Earth all those years ago.
Zlobin's story is remarkable in a number of ways. The area of greatest interest for meteor scientists is called the Suslov depression, which lies directly beneath the location of the air blast and is the place where meteorite debris was most likely to fall.
Dig into the peat bogs here and you can easily find layers that show clear evidence of the explosion. Zlobin said he dug more than ten prospect holes in the hope of finding meteorite fragments, but without success.
However, he had more luck exploring the bed of the local Khushmo River, where stones are likely to collect over a long period of time. He collected around 100 interesting specimens and returned to Moscow with them.
This expedition took place in 1988 and for some unexplained reason, Zlobin waited 20 years to examine his haul in detail. But in 2008, he sorted the collection and found three stones with clear evidence of melting and regmalypts, thumblike impressions found on the surface of meteorites which are caused by ablation as the hot rock falls through the atmosphere at high speed.
Zlobin and others have used tree ring evidence to estimate the temperatures that the blast created on the ground and says that these were not high enough to melt rocks on the surface. However, the fireball in the Earth's atmosphere would have been hot enough for this.
So Zlobin concludes that the rocks must be fragments of whatever body collided with Earth that day.
Zlobin has not yet carried out a detailed chemical analysis of the rocks that would reveal their chemical and isotopic composition. So the world will have to wait for this to get a better idea of the nature of the body.
However, the stony fragments do not rule out a comet since the nucleus could easily contain rock fragments, says Zlobin. Indeed he has calculated that the density of the impactor must have been about 0.6 grams per cubic centimetre, which is about the same as nucleus of Halley's comet. Zlobin says that together the evidence seems "excellent confirmation of cometary origin of the Tunguska impact."
Clearly there is more work to be done here, particularly the chemical analysis perhaps with international cooperation and corroboration.
Then there is also the puzzle of why Zlobin has waited so long to analyse his samples. It's not hard to imagine that the political changes that engulfed the Soviet Union in the year after his expedition may have played a role in this, but it still requires some explaining.
Nevertheless, this has the potential to help clear up one of the outstanding mysteries of the 20th century and finally determine the origin of the largest Earth impact in recorded history. - Technology Review

FINDERS KEEPERS
A man accused of taking items from a Derry, NH store is trying to clear his name, saying that he was confused by the name of the store: Finders Keepers.
Police said Ruben Pavon was shown on surveillance video taking a grill from the porch of the Finders Keepers thrift shop.
"I grabbed the box," Pavon said. "It was a fire pit, something like that. It turned into a grill, and I took it home."
Pavon admitted that it wasn't the first time he had taken something from there, but he said he thought the items were free.
"I just grabbed one. I thought it was there for the taking," he said. "The sign did say 'Finders Keepers.' So I took that DVD player, took it home. A couple of weeks later, the stuff is still there on the porch, so I'm thinking to myself, 'Finders Keepers. They probably just put stuff out there for people to take.'"
The store's owner, Laura Barker, said she doesn't buy Pavon's claim.
"I don't know of any stores where there's free stuff," she said. "It would be nice if there were. I'd be there on a regular basis myself."
Barker said Pavon could have asked to verify his assumptions.
"I've never seen him in the store," she said. "He didn't appear to try and open the door to see if we were open, if anybody was there, if anyone was even there to help him load it. Because the lights were off. So I assume he knew that nobody was there."
The video also shows a child helping Pavon carry the box off the porch, police said. Pavon said he's not a bad person. - WCVB

BALTIMORE, MD - 8/11/2005 - UNEDITED: I was in my 1st floor apt. in a house in Baltimore, MD laying on my bed which was very near to the front of the house. I had an audio recorder on because of noises that I began hearing in the house especially at night.
I had been attacked by several unknown entities and severely so I was laying on my bed saying the names of several entities or beings from the Bible hoping an angel or somebody would come to help. I fell asleep calmly for the first time in a while and immediately as I entered the dream state an entity began to speak to me and I could feel the reverb in my skull. It asked if I wanted to go with "them" though I didnt see any being. I felt as if the entity was good and so I said yes. I got the feeling to look up and I did and I saw a cloud form out of nothing near above the street in front of my apt. (I was then standing outside... in the dream state). I saw a cloud form out of nothing about 100 ft. or less approx. above the street. Then a round silver craft appeared out of the cloud. For some reason I asked if I could take somebody with me to see the space ship and then the craft disappeared, but the cloud was dragged towards the south east. Then I went into another dream and I woke up (approx. 8 hours later).
After I woke up I remembered the space craft and quickly grabbed my digital recorder and uploaded the data to my computer. After I did I noticed large wave patterns which meant a lot of noise. I checked it out and I heard several entities speaking and what sounded like a conduit opening. Too a word that spoken by the entities in unison and then the sound of an electromagnetic oscillation shortly after I can be heard saying, "Jesus Christ Jesus Christ". So it was REAL! This is a Beautiful drawing, the motive itself. What are drawn circles in wheat fields? Crushed wheat plants still growing, on their vital living cycle and growing as yet.
The wheat mature, and dry, not served for the drawing!
If you step a fresh plant, it crushes easier, that a plant dry and hard.
The picture is more marked, the lines more accurately. With mature wheat, the picture is not reflected by color unanimous. Instead, the green wheat, fresh, growing, re-raise again a little, and yet to produce grain, the farmer can harvest, then the economic damage, not is that much. The green plant shines more in the sun, as dry wheat.

We have a plant, yet green, with a dozens of colors. The color green in nature, is expressed at least, any forty small differences of this color. With each movement of the wind, and the reflection of the sun, he changes from a green light almost transparent, a green, almost black. It is beautiful to look at a wheat field, where it moves, like a carpet.

The material formable is the wheat plant. This is the most natural material, which an artist can find for their work. Many Asian religious artists, used trees and plants for his art. He give the plant a form and take care of them for many years, when they are growing slowly, because they are not trees and pasture for one year only.
Observe a plant and cultivate it carefully at a pre-elect and predestined end, as can be, giving shade to a place, that can be given fruit, or it may be, to give harmony with the color of the flowers at a home. The material of a plant, the bonsai trees, mixed the place with stones and a water source is the practice of ZEN. So the Harmony is expressed in its perfection.

Other artists are working still by the simple desire, what they have inside of their heart, to be creative. Drawing is like singing, but on another frequency. The melody may be the same. I am sure these pictures of these artists in the field, are a mixture of various forms of expression.
For her talent they have, they have to make works of art. That comes from an impulse from within, and can not be stopped. The other aspect is the ego, wanting to show the artistic skills that one has. There is nothing wrong. It would be a poor world without art.

Like any other artist, needs to sell their works recognized and purchased by its artistic value and not by the false propaganda. It is not fair to other artists, who do not use this false propaganda.
Finally, the designers in the fields are very good artists, and therefore do not need the false propaganda. We can give public recognition and legal protection, if there are economic arrangements for both parties involved, between the owner and the artist. Because they are great artists, no one would dispute that.

I saw a bright star-like object in the sky while looking west. While the object looks like a star it appears too bright to be one. It also looks like it is too low in the sky to be a star. I have seen the object many many times but I just dismissed it at first. I then became interested in the alien/UFO phenomenon, so I began to study it more and more. Most of time I never saw it move with the naked eye but there was an exception. One night I was talking to my father about 8:40 at night. I was outside and leaning up against my pickup truck. My father tends to be long winded when he speaks so I knew that if I went outside that I would have plenty of time to observe the object. It shows up almost every night, but on this particular night I saw it slowly move from right to left. I also decided to film it on another night around the same time using a Sony video camera with Night Shot and Night Shot Plus Technology. When I used the night shot plus technology the object appears to draw letters or shapes in the sky. I filmed it doing this for about 20-30 minutes. There were two other witnesses that saw it move around on my screen in this fashion. I am running short on time so this is all I can submit for now. One of the cropped photos in "Chariots of the Gods?", claimed by von D"aniken to be similar to the markings of a modern airport, was only the knee joint of one of the bird figures and was quite small in size; von D"aniken says that it was an error in the first edition, and that he wasn't the one who wrote that claim in the book, but the error has not been corrected in later editions."Von D"aniken wrote in Chariots of the Gods?" that a version of the Piri Reis map that the map depicted some Antarctic mountains that were and still are buried into ice, and could only be mapped with modern equipment. The map in von D"aniken's book only extends 5 degrees south of the equator, ending in Cape S~ao Roque, which means that it doesn't extend to the Antarctica. Von D"aniken also said that the map showed some distortions that would only happen if its was an aerial view taken from a spaceship flying above El Cairo, but in fact it doesn't extend enough to the South to cause visible distortions in an aerial view. Von D"aniken also asserts the existence of a legend saying that a god gave the map to a priest, the god being an extraterrestrial being. But Piri Reis said that he had drawn that map himself using old maps, and the map is consistent with the cartographic knowledge at that time. Also, the map is not "absolutely accurate" as claimed by von D"aniken, since it contains many errors and omissions; a fact that von D"aniken did not correct when he covered the map again his 1998 book "Odyssey of the Gods". Other authors had already published this same idea, a fact that von D"aniken did not recognize until 1974 in an interview to "Playboy" magazine."The Nova documentary The Case of the Ancient Astronauts" shows that all the claims made by von D"aniken about the Pyramid of Cheops were wrong in all accounts. The technique of construction is well understood, scholars know perfectly what tools they used, the marks of those tools in the quarries are still visible, and there are many tools preserved in museums. Von D"aniken claims that it would have taken them too long to cut all the blocks necessary and drag them to the construction site in time to build the Great Pyramid in only 20 years, but Nova shows how easy and fast it is to cut a block of stone, and shows the rollers used in transportation. He also claims that Egyptians suddenly started making pyramids out of nowhere, but there are several pyramids that show the progress made by Egyptian architects while they were perfecting the technique from simple mastabas to later pyramids. Von D"aniken claims that the height of the pyramid multiplied by one million was the distance to the Sun, but the number falls too short. He also claims that Egyptians could not align the edges so perfectly to true North without advanced technology that only aliens could give them, but Egyptians knew of very simple methods to find North via star observation, and it is trivial to make straight edges. Von D"aniken claimed that the Sarcophagus of Palenque depicted a spaceman sitting on a rocket-powered spaceship, wearing a spacesuit. However, archaeologists see nothing special with the figure, a dead Mayan monarch who is wearing traditional Mayan hairdo and jewelry, surrounded by Mayan symbols that can be observed in other Mayan drawings. The right hand is not handling any rocket controls, but simply making a traditional Mayan gesture, that other figures in the sides of the lid also make, and is not holding anything. The rocket shape is actually two serpents joining their heads at the bottom, with the rocket flames being the beards of the serpents. The rocket motor under the figure is the face of a monster, symbol of the underworld." Von D"aniken put forward photographs of ancient stones in Peru, with carvings of men using telescopes, detailed world maps, and advanced medical operations, all beyond the knowledge of ancient Peruvians. But the PBS television series Nova" determined that the stones were modern, and located the potter who made them. This potter makes stones daily and sells them to tourists. Von D"aniken had visited the potter and examined the stones himself, but he didn't mention this in his book. He says that he didn't believe the potter when he said that he had made the stones. Von D"aniken says that he asked Doctor Cabrera, a local surgeon who owns the museum, and Cabrera had told him that the potter's claims were a lie and that the stones were ancient. But the potter had proof that Cabrera had thanked him for providing the stones for the museum.
