Chanting "Yo! Yo! UFOs! People have the right to know!" and waving signs that read "UFOs Are Real and the Government Knows It," about 25 supporters of the group Operation Right to Know staged a
protest in front of downtown's Richard B. Russell Federal Building on Tuesday.
The building houses the office of Sen. Sam Nunn (D-Ga.) - as chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, he is a major figure in the government- led UFO cover-up, according to the
activist group.
"On one hand, we've had an overt denial by the government, and on the other hand, we've had a gradual covert release of information, so when it becomes obvious extraterrestrials are here, the people won't freak out," said Atlanta commercial photographer Tricia McCannon, who travels around the country speaking about UFOs.
McCannon cited movies and other media outlets as sources of the government- coordinated UFO
information leaks.
For instance?
"You've got Camel cigarette ads saying, 'They're coming,' with a spaceship in the background," she said.
