Bigfoot Sighting In Texas
Nederland, Texas resident David Arceneaux has claimed to have seen not one, but two Bigfoot creatures. Not only does he have a story, but he also has a picture. Arceneaux claims to have sighted the two creatures this past December while he was cleaning up the graves of a cousin and friend in Oak Bluff Cemetery, which he does once a month. During this monthly labor of love he was frightened by a blood curdling scream. A woman that was nearby, presumably visiting a lost loved one of her own, came over to him and asked him what was wrong. Arceneaux told her that it wasn't him who screamed and both of them began investigating the source of the noise They walked over to the Neches River which borders the cemetery and that is when they spotted the creatures. According to Arceneaux, the unidentified creatures were throwing rocks into the river when they caught sight of Arceneaux and the unknown woman. At this point the two Bigfoot creatures decided to run off."All of a sudden they started walking then running through the woods,"said Arceneaux "When they began to run, the lady said 'I'm leaving' and left. I stayed a few more seconds and then thought there may be a way for them to cross here so I left, scared." Arceneuax estimated one of the creatures to be around 8 feet tall. Luckily for us, he managed to snap this picture using his camera phone: Photo courtesy of David Arceneuax And here is a zoomed in version of the picture: The area of the reported sighting actually has a lot of history in terms of Bigfoot sightings. Interestingly, the area around Port Neches was also home to the now extinct Karnkawa Indians. This tribe of natives have had members that grew as tall as 7 feet or more and as many Bigfoot enthusiasts will tell you, there have been many stories of native women being abducted by "hairy wildmen" only to be returned either pregnant or with a hairy hybrid child. The photo itself is a little bit blurry and not as conclusive as we would like and could still be a hoax. But I'm going to keep an open mind on this one just because I don't believe Arceneaux is lying. Tell me what you think in the comments below!
